Welcome!
Canoeing through Lock #1

Humans are ecological beings, part of the living world, dependent on the natural capital of the biosphere for everything we do, need and want.

As environmental systems become increasingly pressured by growing populations and the demands of overconsumption, we will need to think in new ways, act in new ways and strike a new balance in our relationship to the natural world that supports us.

I don't believe the Earth needs saving, but we humans might. The educational systems that shaped the generations responsible for creating the environmental conditions that now challenge us might not be the best models for educating those who will look for solutions. I am interested in how to educate, as David Orr puts it, "as if the Earth matters.".

This web site will give you a few insights into what I have done and what I value.  When you've finished reading it, go outside.  Explore.  Plant something.  Pick up litter.  Greet your neighbor.  Deeply appreciate.
